Four years into the Mikel Arteta tenure at Arsenal, his side are now excelling on multiple fronts in the Premier League.
Arteta’s team have a good chance of topping the table once again on Christmas Day this year, something that is supposed to be a strong omen.

And Arsenal’s appearance as a more robust unit last season and thus simply hasn’t been a coincidence.
Alongside the arrivals of William Saliba and Declan Rice, Arteta’s team have also been looking after all of the small intricacies of their performances.
That being said, The Athletic have now shared a report detailing Arsenal’s success with set-pieces.
Nicolas Jover, Arsenal’s set-piece coach, is making a huge difference since he’s arrived – and the stats back it up.
Since the start of last season, Arsenal are now the best set-piece side in the Premier League.
Arteta’s Arsenal team have scored 25 goals from set-pieces, three more than any of their league rivals.
Moreover, the club’s efficiency from set-pieces has also been the best in the league too.
Arsenal score 5.3 goals for every 100 set pieces they take, with the lowest two sides in the league achieving 2.5.

So when considering Arsenal’s success or failures with signings over the past few seasons, Nicolas Jover’s arrival from Manchester City shouldn’t be underestimated.
The coach has left a big legacy at both Brentford and Man City, a set-piece brain currently unmatched in England.

In the past Arsenal have been considered a side weak at their core, perhaps in the latter years of Arsene Wenger’s tenure.
However, all indications suggest that Arteta is currently building an Arsenal team capable of winning the Premier League.
The Gunners boast an excellent defensive record to go along with their set-piece proficiency, perhaps it is now just their goal scoring that needs to improve.
Of course, we are scrutinising the smallest of margins, Arsenal are scoring well.
However, when you compare Arteta’s side with the likes of Manchester City, there is still a subtle difference.
And ahead of next summer, the club may consider a bold move for one £87m striker taking Europe by storm.
