Arsenal are hopeful that Bukayo Saka will return from an Achilles injury over the next week and become available for the final five matches.

Saka has been struggling with an Achilles issue for the last few weeks and has been forced to miss the last five matches.

💭 How many points will Arsenal and Man City take from the next five matches?

Man City vs Arsenal next five games

The Gunners have fallen apart without their vice captain, having won just once in the five games since he picked up the injury.

But now, the 24-year-old is getting closer to making his return to the team, and Arsenal are hopeful he will be back for their final five matches.

Arsenal hope Bukayo Saka will return over the next week

Arsenal believe that Bukayo Saka could return over the next week, and then he will face a race to be fit to face Newcastle, according to The Independent.

Saka is Arsenal’s last remaining hope to get their Premier League title bid back on track following the 2-1 defeat at Manchester City.

Noni Madueke has struggled to get anywhere near the levels of Saka, whilst the 24-year-old has been sitting on the sidelines.

Mikel Arteta has also been cautious about bringing Max Dowman into the team, with the teenager not even making it off the bench at City.

Answer honestly: Is Bukayo Saka really the best winger in the world right now?

The Gunners have missed firepower from out wide, and getting Saka back will give them their best possible chance of adding that to the team.

Arsenal’s season has been heavily disrupted by injury, with Kai Havertz being another player who has really struggled to remain fit.

Marin Odegaard is also in the same boat, and it will be so annoying for Arteta that the trio of Saka, Havertz, and Odegaard have started just once together since December 2024.

Arsenal really need Riccardo Calafiori and Jurrien Timber back

Along with Saka, Arsenal also really need Riccardo Calafiori and Jurrien Timber back in their defence.

Ben White and Cristhian Mosquera have both struggled to hit the same heights as Timber, and his return could be huge.

Calafiori’s injury record will really frustrate many Arsenal fans, but there is no doubting his ability to make the team look stronger going forward.

The fans will be desperate to get some positive injury news from Arteta, with his next press conference ahead of Newcastle later this week.
