Arsenal star Thomas Partey has hardly featured all season as he struggled with injuries, but he is now fit again and ready to make an impact.

The midfielder picked up an injury in October which ruled him out until February, meaning he missed the African Cup Of Nations, and recently returned against Sheffield United.

He looked rusty upon his return, but also featured in a behind-closed-doors game during the International break to help give him a fitness boost ahead of the run-in.

Arsenal face a tough schedule in the Premier League and Champions League as they attempt to compete on two fronts, and having Partey back to full fitness will be a massive boost for Mikel Arteta.

Partey has now opened up on what has been a difficult season for him, but claimed that he is now keen to help his team.

Speaking to club media, Partey claimed that whilst this has been a tough campaign, he is now eager to return to the pitch and help Arsenal in the run-in.

“Last year we did so well, and came very close to what we wanted to achieve,” he stated.

“This year we have lots of big players and I know we are capable of doing big things.

“It’s been tough for me, being injured for a long time, but now I am ready to give everything I can to the team.

“Anything I can add to our level, I will do. I worked hard during my rehab to be able to come back to the level I need to be at. Now I want to get back with the team.”

Arsenal face a nightmare in terms of fixture congestion, and will need all the help they can get from their squad players.

When Partey eventually returns to full fitness, he could have a huge impact for Arteta’s side. He could slot into midfield to allow Declan Rice to rest during some midweek fixtures, and the prospect of both midfield powerhouses lining up together is a mouthwatering one.

Partey has been linked with a summer exit, as Arteta can no longer rely on him because of his injuries, and the next two months are a good chance for him to fight for a potential future at Arsenal.
