Arsenal star Kai Havertz has sent a message to former Germany manager Hansi Flick.

In the wake of Hansi Flick being sacked as Germany manager, Arsenal ace Kai Havertz took to social media to respond to the news.

Posting on Instagram, Havertz sent a simple three-word message: “thank you coach!”, alongside a photograph of himself and Flick on the training pitch together.

Flick was sacked as Germany boss following his side’s recent 4-1 defeat at the hands of Japan. Havertz started in the match, leading the line for his country, but could do nothing to prevent the sobering result that will be viewed as little less than a disaster in Germany.

Why Pele Is Overrated.

With Germany set to host EURO 2024, the national team are under more pressure to perform than ever. Havertz is not the only member of the squad to be struggling to shine at present.

The 24-year-old has also been having a rough time of things at club level. Havertz has failed to hit the ground running for Arsenal since his £65 million arrival at the Emirates Stadium from Chelsea this summer.

Havertz must find form for club and country

Whilst Mikel Arteta has insisted that he still has faith in Havertz, the recent form of Fabio Vieira certainly means his place in the Arsenal starting XI is under serious threat. He will have to do better for the Gunners if he is picked to start against Everton their upcoming Premier League clash.

As things stand, the 38-cap Germany international looks woefully short on confidence. There is no doubting his raw ability, but he is yet to tactically acclimatise to Arteta’s demands in a way that will produce especially impressive results.

If Havertz continues to struggle for Arsenal, he may also find that the new Germany manager, whoever that proves to be, is less inclined to make him a centrepiece in his plans.
