Arsenal midfielder Martin Odegaard will now be out until after the November international break.
Odegaard sustained an MCL injury during the Gunners’ clash with West Ham before the current international break, after being involved in a collision with Crysencio Summerville.
The Norwegian has already missed several matches this season due to two previous shoulder injuries, and he now faces an extended period on the sidelines.
Mikel Arteta will be without his captain for at least seven matches, including key games against Atletico Madrid and Crystal Palace.

Arsenal continue to suffer from relentless injury issues.
The likes of Kai Havertz, Noni Madueke and Gabriel Jesus are all long-term absentees, and they’ll now be without their skipper for at least another six weeks.
According to Sami Mokbel of BBC Sport, Odegaard isn’t expected to make his return from injury until after the next set of international fixtures in mid-to-late November.
The 26-year-old will be absent for trips to Fulham, Sunderland and Burnley, as well as a clash at the Emirates against Palace.
