Arsenal star Myles Lewis-Skelly does something nobody else has achieved for England on his international debut

Arsenal duo Myles Lewis-Skelly and Declan Rice started for England in their World Cup qualifier against Albania.

Thomas Tuchel selected the Arsenal duo in his first line up as England boss and it didn’t take long for Lewis-Skelly to repay the faith.

Rice was involved in the goal after he exchanged some neat passes in midfield before Jude Bellingham played a defence-splitting pass for the Hale End graduate to coolly slot home under the Albanian keeper.

It took Lewis-Skelly just twenty minutes to make an impact for his national side on his debut at just 18 years of age, carrying on his fine form under Mikel Arteta at club level this season.

Myles Lewis-Skelly breaks England record with debut goal

With that fine left-footed finish at Wembley stadium, Lewis-Skelly has broken yet another record this season, this time in an England shirt.

The defender becomes the youngest ever player to score on his Three Lions debut and this comes after Lewis-Skelly became Arsenal’s youngest Champions League starter for 13 years against Monaco in December.

It is another landmark moment in an incredible breakthrough season for Lewis-Skelly and he continues to develop and thrive in every situation he is thrust into.

Lewis-Skelly was recently named in the top ten wonderkids in a recent report by football outlet Goal and the Gunners really have struck gold alongside fellow Hale End star Ethan Nwaneri.

Arsenal have reacted to their young stars historic moment by taking to X to write: “Myles Lewis-Skelly. Instant impact.” The club also shared another message of support for the defender soon after.

Another fan on X wrote: “Fantastic ball from Jude Bellingham and a lovely run and finish by Myles Lewis-Skelly, he is going to be some player.”

Meanwhile another England fan believes this is only the start for the Arsenal man, they wrote: “This kid can honestly be the difference for us at the World Cup, early days but he just brings so much to the team from left back.”
