Arsenal star Bukayo Saka has established himself as one of the best wingers in Europe, and he has quickly become one of the most valuable players in the world.

As a young key England star, on a long-term contract playing at the top end of the Premier League, Saka is invaluable to Arsenal, having come through the academy from a very young age.

Although his recent form has been questionable, he has had a top campaign in terms of output, with 21 goals and assists in 26 games across all competitions.

Saka is one of Arsenal’s most important players, and one of the best attackers in the Premier League, and given that he is just 22, he still has plenty of time to develop even further.

Bukayo Saka listed as fifth-most valuable player in the world

It has emerged that Saka is now the fifth-most valuable player in the world, only behind England teammate Jude Bellingham, fellow Real Madrid wingers Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo Goes, and Manchester City’s Erling Haaland.

The valuation has been calculated by CIES Football Observatory, who list Phil Foden just below Saka in sixth place.

Saka has been valued at €223m (£192m), with Bellingham listed as the most valuable on €267.5m (£230m).

Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard is listed in 10th place, with Gabriel Martinelli just behind in 11th, and Kai Havertz in 26th.

Saka has been keeping company with the world’s top players as his reputation has continued to grow, and as such, he should be viewed as one, rather than simply a young Hale End graduate as has sometimes been the case.

This means that, whilst he rightfully earns extra adulation from fans and pundits when playing well, he also has to carry the responsibility of stepping up when the team needs him.

Saka has delivered on countless occasions for Arsenal, and has a strong goal and assist record in big games, and yet again, his team are counting on him to deliver as they aim to get out of a rut which has seen them win once in the last five games.

The winger scored, but was particularly poor as Arsenal lost to Fulham, and he now needs to return to his best form to help his side pick up results in the coming weeks to regain ground in the Premier League title race.
