Jakub Kiwior could make Arsenal transfer exit

One star who has been continually linked with a move away from Arsenal over the past year has been defender Jakub Kiwior.

The Polish international has been a versatile squad player since joining the club, though a reduction in playing time has put his future into question.

The summer saw Kiwior linked with a transfer exit, however he ended up staying with the Gunners as squad depth for the season ahead.

Fast forward to November and he has still struggled to make his way into the team and could now make an exit in January.

Writing on the Daily Briefing, journalist Charles Watts shared an update, stating: “With the January window fast approaching, I think we’re going to see plenty of stories linking Jakub Kiwior with a return to Italy.

“It’s been a familiar theme during the last couple of windows and I’m expecting no different this time around. There was a chance Kiwior could have gone in the summer, but Arsenal decided to keep him for squad purposes.”

Gilberto Silva makes Arsenal Premier League title claim

Over the years there have been plenty of Arsenal stars who have known what it takes to win the biggest prizes in football.

While that has been somewhat lost in the past decade or so, there is some hope that the glory days can return to the Gunners once more.

It will take plenty of sacrifice to make it work this season, though Invincible icon Gilberto Silva has given his thoughts on the situation.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the former Arsenal star said: “If Arsenal want to win this year, they need to put even more effort in than what they are doing. Of course, there is a lot of good work in the team and Mikel and the players, but to be champions you have to give something extra. More than you normally do.

“You have all the strategy for the game, the tactics and technique, you have to find it in yourself, how much you want it. How much you want to win it, how much you’re willing to sacrifice.”

Martin Odegaard impressed Mikel Arteta in Arsenal injury return

Arsenal were boosted by the return of Martin Odegaard in the final game before the international break, where he played every minute in a draw with London rivals Chelsea.

It was that stamina upon his return that drew impressive glances from Mikel Arteta and his coaching staff as he gears up for regular action again.

As reported by The Athletic: “That Odegaard could exhibit such stamina immediately upon returning is testament to the dedication he showed during his rehabilitation. Arsenal’s staff were delighted with how he followed their instructions, doing everything possible to accelerate his recovery.

“Whether it was wearing protective boots or undergoing red-light therapy, Odegaard left no stone unturned in his attempts to regain fitness as soon as possible.”
