Arsenal have one of the youngest squads in the Premier League.
The average age of the Gunners’ squad is 24.7 years – only Tottenham, Sunderland and Chelsea had a younger squad at the start of this season.
Despite that, Arsenal have many players who have top-class experience for club and country. That combination is among the reasons why they are considered the best team in the world right now.
Declan Rice is one of the leaders of that Arsenal squad.

Declan Rice responds after Morgan Rogers calls him an old man
Rice has been among the best players in the Premier League for many years now.
The Englishman was fantastic at West Ham United, and he has reached a whole new level since joining Arsenal in 2023.
Rice is still only 27, but he has been in the game for so long that he has become the fifth youngest player in history to complete 300 Premier League appearances.
That is a remarkable achievement, and following the win over Leeds, he joked that he is feeling really old now after reaching that milestone.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Paul Merson asked: “You sure you’re only 27?”
Rice replied: “I know, I feel 47!”
Then, on Rice’s Instagram post celebrating his achievement, Morgan Rogers posted an emoji of an old man.
The Arsenal man replied: “I feel it!”
Is Declan Rice’s new song the best Arsenal fan chant? If not, which is?
Declan Rice is on track to become a Premier League legend
It’s very rare to see a 27-year-old make 300 appearances in the Premier League.
The four other players who have done it at a younger age are Wayne Rooney, Gareth Barry, Raheem Sterling and James Milner, all of whom have won the league title.
Rice has helped Arsenal go seven points clear at the top of the Premier League table, and the Gunners are the favourites to win it this time.
Once that happens, the midfielder will be among English football royalty, and we are convinced that he is going to add many more trophies in the coming years as well.
That will make him a legend of the Premier League, and he will surely get into the Hall of Fame one day as well.
