Arsenal defender Oleksandr Zinchenko has now aimed a hilarious warning at Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk ahead of the London derby at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

The Gunners travel to west London at the weekend to resume their Premier League title bid after the international break. Arsenal share the lead with Tottenham Hotspur with 20 points through eight matches. Chelsea are down in only 11th place with 11 points after three wins.

Arsenal can even secure a fourth-straight win over Chelsea when they visit Stamford Bridge. Mikel Arteta has beaten the Blues’ merry-go-round of managers with victories over Thomas Tuchel, Graham Potter and Frank Lampard. Zinchenko helped to secure their past two wins.

Ukraine teammates become rivals as Zinchenko’s Arsenal face Mudryk’s Chelsea

Zinchenko will hope to maintain a perfect record with Arsenal against Chelsea when the 26-year-old faces his Ukraine teammate Mudryk. It could also be just the second time that they face each other. Mudryk played for just the final two minutes as Arsenal won 3-1 this May.

Chelsea’s latest manager, Mauricio Pochettino, will hope Mudryk can help them change the tide this weekend. The 22-year-old got his first goal for the Blues since joining in an £88.5m January transfer against Fulham earlier this month. He has also hit his first Ukraine goal, too.

What has Zinchenko told Mudryk ahead of the London derby?

Mudryk helped Ukraine to a 3-1 win over Malta on Tuesday with a goal and an assist beside captain Zinchenko. But the Arsenal defender used the international break to send Mudryk a hilarious warning ahead of Zinchenko meeting Chelsea in the London derby at the weekend.

Zinchenko revealed after Ukraine beat Malta, via quotes by The Sun: “I told Mudryk, ‘If you score on Saturday, I’ll rip your balls off’.”

Despite Zinchenko’s warning, Mudryk will be desperate to score against Arsenal to prove his place at Chelsea. The 15-cap ace has only made one goal and two assists in 25 games since leaving Shakhtar Donetsk. He has also only played 242 Premier League minutes this season.
