Arsenal have two future superstars on their hands in Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly, and they are continuing to impress.

Both teenagers have seen their game time increase this season, with Mikel Arteta even trusting them to appear off the bench in some of Arsenal’s biggest games this season.

Lewis-Skelly appeared against Manchester City and Liverpool, whilst Nwaneri has been called upon with Arsenal lacking creativity in the absence of Martin Odegaard.

Both players are also in the England under-19 squad, and the pair are standing out for their country as well.

Arsenal starlet Ethan Nwaneri scores for England under-19s

The teenagers have been outstanding when given a chance this season, and fresh from Nwaneri’s goal against Lithuania this week, he has netted again for the England under-19s.

England went 1-0 down as Adrian Raychev opened the scoring for Bulgaria, in their European Championship qualifier, but it was the Arsenal starlet who stepped up for his country.

Lewis-Skelly controlled the ball down with an excellent turn, before sliding Nwaneri through, who powered a left-footed strike into the bottom corner.

The pair have lit up Hale End, and have now combined for a goal at National level. Whilst Nwaneri takes the plaudits for the goals, Lewis-Skelly deserves arguably even more praise.

Lewis-Skelly is currently wearing the captain’s armband for England, and he has truly led by example on the pitch.

The teenager assisted both Nwaneri’s equaliser, as well as Lewis Orford’s goal on the stroke of half-time, firing a fierce shot at the goalkeeper before his teammate tapped in the rebound.

Lewis-Skelly, Nwaneri and Arsenal summer signing Tommy Setford were all included in the starting XI against Bulgaria, and with the trio impressing, they can expect to start in England under-19s next game against Belgium.

The two Hale End gems will now hope that their continued excellent displays will earn them even more first-team opportunities as the season goes on.
