If you’re an Arsenal fan and if you were offered PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe in a swap deal for Gabriel Jesus, would you take it? Darren Bent says he wouldn’t.

The Frenchman seems to be throwing a tantrum at the Parc des Princes, with reports from France suggesting today that he wants to leave the club in January – just five months after he signed a new contract.

Arsenal-supporting Darren Bent says he’d reject Gabriel Jesus – Kylian Mbappe swap deal

RMC Sport reveal today that the relationship between Mbappe and PSG is very strained. The Frenchman apparently feels betrayed as certain promises that were made to him when he signed a new deal have not been kept.

Mbappe is now desperate to leave PSG in December, and talkSPORT host Andy Goldstein asked Bent if he would take the 23-year-old at Arsenal in a swap deal for Jesus. The pundit, to many people’s surprise, said no.

Bent said on talkSPORT: “Whenever we’re talking about Mbappe, he’s always upset about something or he’s falling out with somebody or him and Poch don’t have a good relationship or he’s now in charge of the players and managers coming in. It’s all this kind of nonsense.”

When asked if he’d take him at Arsenal in place of Jesus, Bent said: “Right now? No!

“I like what Jesus is doing. I’m not saying that Mbappe is not the better player because he is, but no.”

Goldstein was visibly shocked at Bent’s response. The pundit then replied: “Arsenal are sitting on top of the Premier League table (with Jesus leading the line).”

The Insider’s View:

Kylian Mbappe is arguably the best player in the world at the moment. He’s a superstar and possibly the heir to Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo’s throne, but we agree with Bent here.

There’s absolutely no way we’d take Mbappe at Arsenal when he’s throwing his toys out of the pram every other day. From the outside, it seems clear that he wants to call the shots at his club, which is absolutely unacceptable no matter how much of a superstar you are.

Mikel Arteta has had to work extremely hard to push all the big egos out of Arsenal. We’re in a much better place now and the atmosphere at the club is now better than it has ever been in the Emirates era.

Signing Mbappe would completely ruin all that hard work. So, thanks but no thanks. We’ll stick with Gabby Jesus!
