Arsenal transfer target Georgiy Sudakov has recently switched to a new agent.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Georgiy Sudakov has taken on new representatives with ProStar agency ahead of the upcoming January transfer window.

According to TeamTalk, Arsenal are one of a number of clubs interested in signing the 21-year-old, with Juventus, Manchester City, Brighton and Hove Albion, and Chelsea all also keeping tabs on the player.

The decision to change agents could easily suggest that Sudakov is also planning to change clubs in the near future. Clearly, he can expects to have plenty of options available to him should he decide to make a move this winter.

Oleksandr Zinchenko is certainly hoping to see Sudakov end up at Arsenal. The pair are teammates at international level, so the Arsenal left-back is well aware of his fellow Ukrainian’s qualities.

Who is Georgiy Sudakov?

Sudakov truly blossomed as a player last season. In 39 appearances for Shakhtar Donetsk, across all competitions, he contributed five goals and eleven assists as he was utilised in a variety of midfield roles. He has started the new campaign in fine form too, and already has three strikes under his belt.

Discussing his own style of play, Sudakov has previously likened himself to Manchester City star Phil Foden and Tottenham Hotspur ace James Maddison, as per The Telegraph.

A skilful and technically gifted player, the eleven-cap Ukraine international is a creative force in the middle of the park, able to unlock an opposition defences with a well-placed pass. He can also be lethal in front of goal.

Whether or not Arsenal opt to make a move for his signature in January remains to be seen. The Gunners are certainly in the market for a new midfielder, but Mikel Arteta may well prefer to focus on bringing in a more proven player with Premier League experience at this stage.

The north London club may also be somewhat reluctant to attempt further business with Shakhtar Donetsk. They engaged in drawn out negotiations with the club in January over a deal for Mykhailo Mudryk, only for the winger to end up joining Chelsea for £88.5 million

Considering the Ukrainian outfit have a record of demanding top dollar for their promising young talents, and Arsenal only have a limited transfer budget available to them at this time, this deal could prove too difficult to get done any time soon.
