Arsenal were dealt a blow as Gabriel Jesus missed their FA Cup defeat to Liverpool with injury, and this could become a big problem.
Indications are that Jesus will not be out for too long as he deals with a minor knee issue, on the same knee which he damaged during the World Cup to miss a huge chunk of last season.
However, there is no clear return date yet, but there is hope that he will feature against Crystal Palace after a short winter break.
Jesus has failed to hit top form this season whilst also missing a number of games with knee and hamstring issues, and this may now become a major issue for Arsenal.
Gabriel Jesus’ injury problems are far from ideal for Arsenal
Speaking on his YouTube channel, journalist Charles Watts claimed that Jesus’ constant injuries are becoming a concern, and if his latest one is a serious issue, it would be disastrous for Arsenal this season.
“This is gonna only add to Arsenal’s problems,” he stated of Jesus’ latest injury.
“It’s another knee problem, with Jesus, like Mikel said, it’s the same knee so that is a concern at the moment.
“Hopefully, as they suspect at the moment, it is nothing serious, but it could turn into something serious, then you’re left with Eddie Nketiah and Kai Havertz as your strikers, and it is a concern.”
Can Arsenal rely on Gabriel Jesus?

Although Jesus’ quality outside the box is undeniable, his constant injuries have been a problem for Mikel Arteta, and the likes of Eddie Nketiah and Leandro Trossard have had to step up in his absence since his arrival at the start of last season.
Arsenal are badly lacking goals, and if Jesus is now set to miss more games, his absence comes at the worst possible time. The entire front line is out of form, and Arsenal have now lost their last three games.
There have been links with Ivan Toney, as Arteta has been repeatedly urged to sign a new centre-forward, and a top-class goalscorer could be necessary alongside Jesus as a support striker.
His lack of availability this season has meant Arsenal have been unable to play with a consistent attack, and it may become the case that Arteta wants to strengthen his options as he cannot rely on Jesus to stay fit over the course of a whole campaign given his knee issues.
