However, some of them go under the radar even today. They never get as much praise as they should, which is a real shame, isn’t it?
Arsenal have the ‘most underrated player in the Premier League’
Arsenal are currently second in the Premier League table and through to the quarter-finals of the Champions League, where we will face Bayern Munich.
No team gets to this stage of both competitions without having a fantastic set of players.
Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, Martin Odegaard and Declan Rice get all the praise in the world – not just from our fans but from pundits as well.
However, there are a few players at Arsenal who just quietly go about their business and produce quality performances every single week. Such players rarely ever get the praise they deserve.
Carlton Cole was speaking about the most underrated player in the Premier League recently, and the former West Ham United man believes Arsenal star Jorginho is the one.
He has hailed him, not just for his performances in the middle of the park but also for getting the best out of Rice next to him.
Cole told ESPN: “Who’s the most underrated player in the Premier League? Haaland, no I’m joking. I’m going to go with Jorginho.
“He’s doing well now and nobody really appreciates his experience and what he brings to the team. He lets Declan Rice go forward and express himself.”
Three other Arsenal players are extremely underrated
Jorginho is definitely one of Arsenal’s most underrated players.
The Italian is a consistent performer in the middle of the park. He is brilliant on the ball, plays the regista role as well as anybody else, and his experience helps Arsenal out massively too. Declan Rice has even branded him as ‘world-class‘.
However, he isn’t the only underrated player in Arsenal’s squad right now.
In our opinion, Ben White is the most underrated right-back in the Premier League. Pundits like Jamie Carragher think Trent Alexander-Arnold, Reece James and Kieran Trippier are better, but none of them are as complete as the Arsenal number four.
Gabriel Magalhaes is another player who is extremely underrated. Before the game against Manchester City on Sunday, not many people outside Arsenal were ready to include him in the conversation of the best defenders in the Premier League, even though he is definitely up there.
The other player we think deserves a lot of credit is Jakub Kiwior. The Pole has been one of the most improved players in the Premier League since the turn of the year. He has been so good that he’s keeping Oleksandr Zinchenko, a four-time league winner, out of the side.
