Arsenal are expected to be busy again in the transfer market this summer and they could turn their attention to a current Premier League star.

Midfield and left-wing are expected to be areas where Arsenal really look to strengthen.

However, with a number of forwards at the club facing uncertain futures – including Gabriel Jesus – Arsenal could also be in the market for a new forward.

And according to reports, that new forward could be Bournemouth’s Junior Kroupi.

Arsenal eyeing up Junior Kroupi ahead of summer recruitment drive

According to Football London, Bournemouth star Kroupi is a player Arsenal have identified as a potential signing.

The Cherries forward has been a revelation in his first season in the Premier League, notching 11 goals already as Andoni Iraola’s men have enjoyed an impressive campaign.

However, with that good form has come interest and Arsenal are right among the frontrunners.

It’s claimed that Arsenal have been watching Kroupi in person as they look to address the potential departures of Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard.

Kroupi’s ability to play through the middle and wide will appeal to Mikel Arteta.

This season, with Bukayo Saka spending time out injured, the other wingers in the squad like Martinelli and Noni Madueke have struggled to produce the numbers needed.

In Kroupi, Arsenal would be getting a young player who is already proven at Premier League level, as well as having the skill set to go and improve further.

Of course, Arsenal have a rich history of developing young French players. Arsenal fans will remember fondly the likes of Thierry Henry, Patrick Vieira and Sylvain Wiltord.

If Kroupi can hit half the heights of any of those players – should he be signed – then Arsenal will be onto a winner.
