Arsenal have reportedly identified Ajax youngster Diant Ramaj as a potential replacement for Aaron Ramsdale this summer.
The England international is set to depart north London after losing out on his number one spot in Mikel Arteta’s main starting XI to David Raya, who since the turn of the year has been exceptional for the Gunners.
With Ramsdale one of the best goalkeepers in the league last season, it won’t be hard for the 25-year-old shot-stopper to find a new home should Arsenal make the former Sheffield United man available for transfer.
Arsenal chasing Diant Ramaj as ‘perfect’ Aaron Ramsdale replacement

And according to journalist Steve Kay, Arsenal are interested in signing 22-year-old Ajax talent Ramaj, who could be the ideal replacement for Ramsdale as the Gunners’ new backup goalkeeper for next season.
Kay says about Arsenal’s interest in Ramaj: “Arsenal also liked him when he was at Eintracht Frankfurt. He’s good on the ball which is something Mikel Arteta certainly wants.
“He’s also excellent at long balls to the attackers and could be the perfect back-up at Arsenal. Ramaj’s also a great shot-stopper. He’s brave in coming out for crosses etc.
“The only question mark, if anything, is his handling. As for his value, I’m told he wouldn’t cost a lot. A fee of €15m (£12m) has been mentioned to me.”
Arsenal could still regret goalkeeping saga in the years to come

Arsenal’s Premier League form in recent weeks has been nothing short of sensational, with Raya’s dominance between the sticks a key reason behind the Gunners’ fantastic winning streak.
Yet whilst the Spanish international is now starting to show his worth, this entire goalkeeping episode could still come to bite Arsenal if Ramsdale is sold and excels away from north London.
As we know, the England international is a fantastic talent and a real star for the future, and Arsenal could be making a serious risk in selling Ramsdale and pursuing Ramaj, who might struggle to replace the 25-year-old.
