Arsenal have so many players at this summer’s World Cup that there’s plenty to keep fans interested but it looks like transfer business is still very much ongoing too.

Andrea Berta has already been a busy man and has touched base with a number of players and agents ahead of strengthening the squad.

Mikel Arteta is keen to add quality to his squad. A midfielder, a wide player and a full-back all feature on his wishlist.

One man we know is one that wishlist is Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers.

And according to reports this weekend, Rogers could be an Arsenal player very soon indeed.

Arsenal to push hard to sign Morgan Rogers this week

Morgan Rogers has been linked heavily with Arsenal for weeks now and it’s seemed almost inevitable he’ll become a Gunner soon enough.

However, it now looks like the club are going to accelerate a deal for him.

According to the respected Arsenal account, HandOfArsenal, the Gunners will push for a deal to be done this week, with an apparent ‘real willingness’ to get things done.

Rogers played his part as England beat Croatia last week and he is expected to play some part as England face Ghana and then Panama next week over in the States.

Arsenal, it seems, are keen to ensure that whatever is happening over at the World Cup has zero impact on them.

Making sure Arteta’s squad is ready for the return to training this summer is all that matters for the board and Berta.

If that means disturbing a few over in the England camp, then so be it.
