Arsenal 5-2 Tottenham, February 2012

One of two iconic 5-2 victories over Spurs at the Emirates Stadium, February 2012 saw an under-pressure Arsenal side smash their rivals in a chaotic game.

Arsenal went 2-0 down in 40 minutes, with goals from Louis Saha and former Gunner Emmanuel Adebayor, but they levelled the scores before half-time through Bacary Sagna and Robin van Persie.

Tomas Rosicky slotted in to give Arsenal the lead, before Theo Walcott scored an excellent brace to make it 5-2 on a glorious day at the Emirates.

Later that year, Arsenal faced Spurs at the Emirates again, and remarkably won in very similar circumstances.

Adebayor gave Tottenham the lead, but was sent off for a reckless tackle on Santi Cazorla. Goals from Per Mertesacker, Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud gave Arsenal a 3-1 lead by half-time.

Cazorla then netted himself, before Gareth Bale and Walcott each added goals to make it 5-2 again.

Arsenal 3-0 Tottenham, December 2006

The first-ever North London Derby at the Emirates Stadium was a good one, as Arsenal thrashed their rivals 3-0 in a controversial game.

Adebayor gave Arsenal the lead, before the home side were awarded a penalty after Rosicky was fouled in the box.

Gilberto Silva converted the penalty to double Arsenal’s lead, and he would get on the scoresheet again.

Referee Graham Poll awarded Arsenal another spot-kick after Van Persie was brought down by Jermaine Jenas, and the Brazilian doubled his own tally, and the Gunners recorded a superb victory despite the absence of Henry, who was injured.

Arsenal 3-0 Tottenham, October 2009

Arsenal made it 20 league North London Derbies unbeaten in October 2009 as they thrashed Harry Redknapp’s side 3-0.

Robin van Persie gave Arsenal the lead, before Cesc Fabregas scored one of the most iconic goals in the history of the fixture, winning the ball immediately from kick-off, racing through the entire Spurs team and scoring just as the TV replays of the first goal ended.

Van Persie then finished from close range to cap off an excellent day for Arsene Wenger’s side, with the gap between the two clubs as big as ever.

Arsenal 3-0 Tottenham, November 2002

Arsenal were loving life as the dominant side of the rivalry in 2002. They had won the double in the previous season, and former Spurs captain Campbell was a key part of their defence.

They then continued to exert their dominance with a 3-0 victory over Spurs at Highbury in November 2002. Goals from Thierry Henry, Freddie Ljungberg and Sylvain Wiltord handed Wenger’s side an easy win.

Arsenal 4-2 Tottenham, December 2018

Unai Emery’s first North London Derby in charge of Arsenal was an incredible one, and one of the most dramatic in recent years.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang gave Arsenal the lead from the spot, but the hosts fell behind as quickfire goals from Eric Dier and Harry Kane, in between fights between the substitutes on the touchline, gave Spurs a shock lead.

Emery then made two game-changing substitutions as Aaron Ramsey and Alexandre Lacazette replaced Alex Iwobi and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Aubameyang scored an outstanding equaliser, before Ramsey set up Lacazette to make it 3-2. Lucas Torreira then had his best moment for the club, as he scored an excellent goal to make it 4-2 to Arsenal, sending the Emirates crowd wild.

Spurs finished above Arsenal by a narrow margin to have the last laugh that season, but this was still one of the most unforgettable derbies in Premier League history.
