Mikel Arteta has a job on his hands after the international break as the Premier League continues.
Arsenal are not where they want to be after 11 games played in the league season, sitting in fourth and nine points below leaders Liverpool.
With just five wins from 11, the Gunners are at risk of drifting away from the title race if form continues after the break, with the run-in to Christmas possibly decisive.
Liverpool are in stellar form while Manchester City have struggles of their own, emphasising the need for Arsenal to improve and redeem themselves before the new year.

Arsenal’s Premier League fixtures until 2025
So far, Arsenal have maintained a win rate of 45%, which is not sufficient if the Gunners want to win the Premier League title in May.
For now, Arteta has some time to regroup his thoughts while his players are on international duty, with 10 crucial games to play until the new year hits.
Out of the 10 fixtures ahead, seven come in the Premier League, with Champions League and EFL Cup action also happening before the end of 2024.

Focusing on the upcoming league clashes, a number of games stick out as being more challenging than the others, starting with when domestic action resumes.
On the 23rd, Arsenal welcome in form Nottingham Forest to the Emirates, with another home test coming shortly after as Ruben Amirom’s Manchester United pay a visit.
Other challenges come in the form of Fulham and Crystal Palace away, with Craven Cottage and Selhurst Park not being the easiest of places to visit when there’s a lot at stake.
Of course, the message will remain the same, to win every fixture, with a tunnel vision approach needed to ensure ground gets covered in the race to the summit.
Manchester City and Liverpool’s Premier League schedule
While Arsenal should be solely focused on themselves when action resumes, there is some encouragement regarding the challenges that title contenders Liverpool and Manchester City are set to face.
After a relatively laid-back start to the campaign, Liverpool will play Man City, Newcastle United, Fulham and Tottenham among others in the run-in to the new year.

Added to the fixtures that are harder on paper comes the unpredictability of the Merseyside derby, a clash Liverpool lost in April at Goodison Park.
Like Arsenal, Pep Guardiola’s side desperately need to improve, with a host of difficult matches coming City’s way in the festive period.
The champions will face fierce challenges in the form of Spurs, Liverpool, Nottingham Forest, Manchester United and Aston Villa before the end of the year.
As seen through the two clubs’ Premier League schedule, points could be dropped at any moment, which is something Arsenal must be in a position to take advantage of.
