Arsenal begin their Champions League campaign with a game against Atalanta in Italy.

Arsenal need to use that confidence to beat Atalanta as that momentum could help them in their game against Manchester City at the Etihad.
Mikel Arteta will want his side to beat Atalanta, and he has gathered as much information as he possibly could about tonight’s opponents.
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has obtained ‘important’ information about Atalanta
It has been a while since Arsenal faced an opponent from Italy in Europe.
The last time the Gunners took on a club from the Serie A was in the 2018/19 season. Unai Emery’s side beat Napoli 3-0 over two legs in the quarter-final of the Europa League.
Atalanta will make it difficult for Arsenal on Thursday night, and Arteta will have to get his tactics spot on to pick up all three points from the game.
The Gunners boss has now revealed that he has obtained some inside information.
Arsenal’s two Italians, Jorginho and Riccardo Calafiori, know Atalanta really well. Arteta has admitted that he has asked both of them for information about the Italian side and some of the players they are familiar with.
“I spoke with Riccardo and Jorgi as they know the team very well,” Arteta in his press conference, as per Arsenal.com.
“They know the players and it’s always very important information to get a hold of. They’ve played in some great games against this squad during the last few seasons, and they’ve done very well.”

Arteta used similar tactic in 2023/24 and it worked
Arteta does everything he can to get an advantage for Arsenal.
Jorginho and Calafiori’s insight about Atalanta could prove to be really beneficial as Gian Piero Gasperini’s side are very difficult to beat.
In the 2023/24 season, when Arsenal were drawn against Porto in the Champions League, Arteta turned to the Portuguese player in his squad for some insight.
Arteta admitted that Fabio Vieira gave him important information about Porto, and even though the game was very difficult over two legs, the Gunners came out on top in the end.
Arsenal fans will be hoping that Jorginho and Calafiori’s information to Arteta will help the North Londoners get over the line in Bergamo.
