Arsenal’s next five fixtures compared to Liverpool and Man City in Premier League title race

Arsenal will feel they are firmly back in the Premier League title race after a huge win over rivals Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners were trailing their rivals by five points heading into the clash, knowing that defeat would leave them in a tough spot. Mikel Arteta‘s men started strong though, taking the lead after Kai Havertz‘s shot was saved into the path of Bukayo Saka for a simple finish to take the lead.

Chances continued to flow in a dominant first half for the north London outfit, but the goals didn’t quite follow. They were made to pay for that just before the break as a mess at the back led to Gabriel Magalhaes putting the ball into his own net.

Arsenal managed to bounce back though, with Gabriel Martinelli taking advantage of Liverpool’s mess at the back. Ibrahima Konate was given his marching orders late on for a second bookable offence, just before Leandro Trossard put the game beyond doubt with a blistering counterattack.

The result means just two points separate the Gunners and the Reds at this stage, which will bunch up those teams aiming for the title. With that said, here’s a look at Arsenal’s next five fixtures and how they compare to their title rivals Liverpool and Manchester City.
