Arsenal will travel to Asia for their 2025 summer pre-season tour.

The Gunners have spent the last three years on tour in the United States, playing in front of their avid supporter base across the pond.

However, Mikel Arteta’s squad will embark on a different journey this year, as they prepare to jet off to the far east to take on a handful of top European teams.

Arsenal remain hopeful of winning the Premier League this season, and they could be showing off their winners medals in Hong Kong in July.

Arsenal to play Tottenham in Hong Kong in July

Arsenal beat Tottenham at the Emirates in January, with goals from Leandro Trossard and an own goal from Dominic Solanke seeing off Ange Postecoglou’s side.

With both teams now out of the FA Cup and competing in different European competitions, the next time the bitter North London rivals will meet will be in Hong Kong in July.

The Gunners will entertain the Lillywhites at the newly constructed Kai Tak Sports Park in the City state on 31st July.

The ground holds 50,000 people and will likely be packed to the brim with Hong Kong based Arsenal and Spurs supporters.

More details of Arsenal’s tour are yet to be released, although the confirmation of the North London Derby in Hong Kong indicates that Arteta’s ensemble will be travelling around Asia, with possible other destinations including China, South Korea and Singapore.

The club may even venture down under, with Arsenal travelling to Australia back in 2017, alongside a trip to China.

Arsenal shouldn’t play Tottenham in pre-season

While commercially, it makes sense for Arsenal to play Tottenham in Hong Kong, from a footballing standpoint it doesn’t.

Pre-season is about building up fitness and working on tactical plans for the real season, not results.

However, due to the unrelenting hatred between the two clubs, they’ll never truly play a friendly, and this can easily result in players over-exerting themselves or putting in more reckless tackles than they should.

This can subsequently result in injuries before the real football has started, and Arteta must be weary of this.

Regardless, Arsenal fans will be hoping to see some new signings in action in Hong Kong, while they’ll also be desperate to get one over their noisy neighbours.
