Arsenal are fearing the worst when it comes to club captain Martin Odegaard and a potential injury issue he has picked up on international duty.
The playmaker has been a crucial part of Mikel Arteta’s team ever since he made the initial loan switch from Real Madrid, before moving to the Emirates Stadium permanently.
However, while he was away with his national team, Odegaard picked up an ankle injury in the latest clash with Austria.
The 25-year-old was substituted off in immense pain and was subsequently seen in crutches after the match.
There are fears that Odegaard could miss at least three weeks through injury, which means missing some crucial games, including the North London Derby.
So with Arsenal potentially missing one of their key players, here’s a look at their record without Odegaard in the team.

Arsenal’s win record with and without Martin Odegaard
Odegaard’s importance is underlined by Arsenal’s win record both with and without the playmaker in their side.
In the Premier League, the midfielder has won 77 of his 116 games since joining the club on loan in 2021.
Meanwhile, that rate reduces to just 10 wins in 19 games without him in the side, impacting the win rate significantly.
With Odegaard playing, Arsenal have won roughly 66% of their games, while without him, that reduces to roughly 53%.
That could drop further as tough games against Tottenham and Manchester City await the Gunners in the Premier League.
It means Arteta may have to adapt quickly to pick a team that will work without their talisman – should he miss out through injury.

Martin Odegaard problem is similar to Rodri win rate at Manchester City
The issue of a side struggling when a key part of their plans is absent is nothing new, but it has certainly been evident at a team like Manchester City.
The usually impenetrable Premier League champions have proven to be rather limp when missing midfield star Rodri.
Without the defensive midfielder, Pep Guardiola’s side have often looked uncharacteristically weak at the back.
This is often reflected in the win rate with and without the Spaniard in the side, which has often been highlighted by the media.
With Arteta now facing a similar problem, it’s down to him to find a solution that could be crucial in the Premier League and Champions League campaigns.
