Given Arsenal are top of the pile across Europe at the moment, interest in some players is always going to be there and the latest man to get a link abroad is Kai Havertz.

Havertz has recently returned from injury in fine style and his fitness has coincided with a boost in form for the Gunners.

Havertz is very much admired by Arsenal coaching staff and fans. Indeed, if he were to be sold, it would leave a gaping hole in the Arsenal squad.

Indeed, the German forward has been mentioned in reports this week linking Bayern Munich with making a summer move for him.

However, in good news for the Gunners, it appears nothing is imminent.

Kai Havertz to Bayern Munich rumours clarified

Given Bayern are the biggest club in Germany and one of the biggest in the world as well, they’re always going to have eyes on the very best players. Especially those from Germany.

However, when it comes to Kai Havertz, respected BILD journalist Heiko Niedderer has clarified the situation. And it’s good news for Arsenal fans.

“Not true,” Niedderer remarked on the BILD Podcast when asked about Havertz and Bayern.

“Yes, Kai Havertz is obviously a great player. He’s just come back very well after a long injury layoff – he missed a year – and has returned strongly at Arsenal. The rumour has come up now that Arsenal might not see him as a long-term option beyond 2028. He’s under contract until 2028, but the idea is that they may be open to letting him go.

“However, for Bayern this is currently not an option. First, he would cost a lot of money. Second, Bayern are very well stocked in the positions he plays — Musiala, Lennart Karl, and so on. Even up front, where he often plays for Arsenal, there’s no scenario after signing Harry Kane where Havertz would be an option.

“Havertz has come up as a topic at Bayern before over the years, and he’s certainly a player they always keep an eye on, but right now, it’s not realistic.”

We will know about it if Bayern come knocking and Harry Kane proves it

If the huge clubs like Bayern, Madrid and Barcelona want your player, it can be hard to stem the tide and stop any deals happening.

Essentially, if Bayern do want Havertz and are serious, then we’ll soon know about it.

We saw with the Harry Kane saga at Tottenham how Bayern leaked plenty to the press and openly commented on their admiration for him. From there, it was a matter of when and not if Kane signed.

The same will happen with Havertz if Bayern do want him. They will try to disrupt and cause a fuss and effectively force Arsenal’s hand.

Luckily, the Gunners are in a stronger position than Spurs ever were with Kane and as mentioned here, a deal looks unrealistic at the moment.
