The Champions League era has come with plenty of memorable moments for Arsenal, be it in victory or defeat.
While the Gunners are yet to win the competition, they did come close by reaching the Champions League final in 2006 – losing to Barcelona.
In the years since, Arsenal have won plenty of games by handsome margins, putting their European opposition to the sword.
So with that said, here’s a look at the top ten biggest Champions League victories in the club’s history.

Sporting CP 1-5 Arsenal – 2024/25
In the 2024/25 season, the new Champions League format saw Arsenal travel to Portugal, taking on Sporting CP in a league phase match.
While the Gunners had to be wary of a side that thrashed Manchester City earlier in the same season, it was much more of a stroll for the North London side.
Goals from Gabriel Martinelli, Kai Havertz, Gabriel Magalhaes, Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard sealed a huge 5-1 victory.
It marked a huge win for the Gunners as they rocketed up the table to put themselves in contention for a top-eight finish.
Arsenal 5-1 Shakhtar Donetsk – 2010/11
Arsenal played host to Shakhtar Donetsk in group-stage action back in the 2010/11 season, hopeful of picking up some important points.
The supporters at the Emirates Stadium saw that and then some as the Gunners smashed five past their opposition.
Goals from Alex Song, Samir Nasri, Cesc Fabregas, Jack Wilshere and Marouane Chamakh sealed a victory for Arsenal.

The Shakhtar side had some memorable names featuring, including Willian, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Luiz Adriano.
Arsenal 5-1 Rosenborg – 2004/05
Rosenborg made the trip from Norway to Highbury in 2004/05 to take on Arsenal in the group stages of the Champions League.
Arsenal were clinical during a peak era under Arsene Wenger, as goals from Jose Antonio Reyes, Thierry Henry, Cesc Fabregas, Robert Pires and Robin van Persie sealed a comfortable 5-1 victory.

Inter Milan 1-5 Arsenal – 2003/04
Arsenal travelled to the San Siro in the 2003/04 in a huge Champions League clash against Inter Milan.
It was a tight match in Italy as Thierry Henry’s opener was cancelled out by Christian Vieiri to bring the match level at half-time.

Freddie Ljungberg gave Arsenal the lead again just after the break as the game seemingly drifted towards a win for the visitors.
Then, in the final five minutes, the Gunners kicked it into overdrive as Henry scored a brace followed by Edu Gaspar and Robert Pires – sealing a historic night.
Arsenal 5-0 Porto – 2009/10
The round of 16 stage of the 2009/10 season saw Arsenal take on Porto, following a 2-1 defeat in the first leg away from home.
Returning to the Emirates Stadium, the Gunners made the Portuguese side pay as a Nicklas Bendtner hat-trick took the headlines.
Samir Nasri and Emmanuel Eboue also managed to get on the scoresheet, emphatically sending Arsenal into the quarter-finals.

Arsenal 6-0 Braga – 2010/11
In 2010/11, Arsenal played host to Portuguese side Braga in the group stages with another three points needed in their campaign.
Both Cesc Fabregas and Carlos Vela scored braces for the side, alongside finishes from Andrey Arshavin and Marouane Chamakh.

Arsenal 6-0 Ludogorets – 2016/17
Arsenal put Ludogorets to the sword in the 2016/17 season of the Champions League when they managed to score several big goals.
A Mesut Ozil hat-trick was a highlight, alongside goals for Alexis Sanchez, Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
It added a huge three points to the group stage tally for Arsenal, coming as a huge boost to the side.
Arsenal 6-0 RC Lens – 2023/24
Another six-goal thriller followed in 2023/24 for Arsenal, with six different scorers finding the back of the net.
A 14-minute demolition saw goals from Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli help the Gunners land a decent lead.
Further finishes from Martin Odegaard and Jorginho ensured the match became one of the biggest victories for Arsenal.
Arsenal 7-0 Slavia Prague – 2007/08
One of Arsenal’s biggest-ever wins in the Champions League saw the Gunners stick seven goals past Czech side Slavia Prague.
Cesc Fabregas and Theo Walcott both bagged a brace, while a David Hubacek own-goal only furthered a lead for the home side.
Alexander Hleb and Nicklas Bendtner sealed the rout with their finishes, coming as one of the most memorable in the club’s European history.

PSV Eindhoven 1-7 Arsenal – 2024/25
Making the trip to the Netherlands in the first leg of the round of 16 in 2024/25, Arsenal were struggling to find much scoring form.
After failing to score in consecutive league matches, the Gunners seemingly took out their frustrations on PSV Eindhoven.
A Martin Odegaard brace joined a list of Jurrien Timber, Ethan Nwaneri, Mikel Merino, Leandro Trossard and Riccardo Calafiori by finding the back of the net.
It saw Arsenal take a six-goal lead with them to the second leg back at the Emirates Stadium.
