Arsenal are said to be weighing up a move for Rennes midfielder Yann M’Vila. Reports this morning suggest French sources say we are among major European clubs interested in the France international.
Yet there are no concrete quotes from anyone of significance regards this accept for a Rennes source confirming the player is for sale. Elsewhere in the media this morning and a tale of a row between Robin van Persie and Abou Diaby at half-time in our 3-1 win at Blackpool, with some papers claiming the pair had to be pulled apart by team-mates.
RVP supposedly lost the plot with Diaby after he was booked for kicking the ball away just before half time with the Dutchman said to be livid as Diaby had been sent off at Newcastle when we drew 4-4 after enjoying a 4-0 advantage.
As for the takeover, there are differing views in this morning’s papers on AW’s position at the club. He “will find himself under new pressure to end Arsenal’s trophy drought following Stan Kroenke’s move according to the Mail — while the Mirror takes the view that the manager “has been promised a huge transfer budget by new owner Kroenke and he will be told to use it and win trophies”.
