The last time Arsenal won the Premier League title, Arsene Wenger was their manager.
The legendary Frenchman won three league titles during his time at the club, the last of which came all the way back in 2004.
Mikel Arteta is desperate to end that drought, and his Arsenal side are now the favourites to win the Premier League title this season.
Wenger has now backed his old club to do it.

Arsene Wenger says Arsenal are the ‘best team’ right now
Arsenal have had a phenomenal start to the new season.
The Gunners are on top of the Premier League table after 12 games, and they are above everyone else in the Champions League standings as well.
Opta have named Arsenal as the favourites to win both competitions this season, which would be an incredible achievement.
Even Arsene Wenger wasn’t able to achieve that.

The Frenchman, who is now FIFA’s Head of Global Football Development, spoke to CNN in Doha, and he was asked about the North Londoners.
“They don’t need me, but I’m a big supporter,” he said.
When asked about Arsenal’s title chances this season, Wenger added: “Of course. They are the best team at the moment!”

Can Arsenal be stopped?
Arsenal should be aiming to win more than just the Premier League
Wenger is right, Arsenal are the ‘best team’ in the world right now.
The Gunners have been incredible in the Premier League and are the absolute favourites to go all the way in the title race.
However, after a flawless start in the Champions League, Arteta should be looking to win that competition as well.
Arsenal have at least two top-class players in every position, so they have what it takes to go all out in both competitions.
If Arteta manages to achieve that, he will become an Arsenal legend and will have a statue outside the Emirates one day.
