Mikel Arteta has issued a fresh injury update surrounding Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli ahead of Arsenal’s Premier League clash against Brentford.
Both players were brought off in Arsenal’s 6-0 win against Sheffield United with Saka being brought off at halftime as Martinelli came off with a knock later on in the match.
Despite the concerns from fans, fears were quickly quelled following updates from Arteta, with Saka coming off after feeling unwell as Martinelli only suffered a cut.

And speaking to the press ahead of Saturday’s clash against Brentford, Arteta has confirmed that both Saka and Martinelli are in contention to feature against the Bees.
With the Gunners on an incredible winning run in the Premier League, fans will be hopeful that Arsenal can extend their streak to eight games, with Saka and Martinelli two key players for the north London side.
Indeed, the wingers have been influential in Arsenal’s sensational seven-game winning run, and Arteta has now said the pair could play against Brentford.
Arteta said: “We’ve got some players back last Monday and then we had Martinelli and Bukayo with little issues. We’re pretty positive that hopefully they can be part of that. But we’ll have to see.”

Arsenal have never looked this good in the Premier League under Arteta, with the north London side going on a run so good they now find themselves back in the title race.
And extending that winning streak on Saturday against Brentford will again be a massive statement for Arsenal, who will go top with a win at the Emirates Stadium.
With Saka and Martinelli in contention to feature, Arsenal will have a squad strong enough to show Brentford what they’re made of, and another win will be massive in the title race.
