‘Be part of a different club’: Mikel Arteta sends a warning to Arsenal stars as title race pressure heats up

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has sent a strong warning to his players ahead of the business end of the season.

The Gunners recently had the chance to go nine points clear at the top of the Premier League, but a poor start to 2026 has reduced the gap between themselves and Manchester City to just two points.

That has led to a lot of pressure and unnecessary noise from the outside, and the result against Wolves suggested that it is getting to the Arsenal players.

However, Arteta is having none of that.

Mikel Arteta tells Arsenal players to find a new club if they can’t handle the noise

There is a lot of pressure on Arsenal this season.

The Gunners finished second in the Premier League in each of the last three campaigns, and fans are desperate for them to get over the line.

That is why every disappointing result is viewed as a disaster, and that has been the mood since the 2-2 draw against Wolves midweek.

In his press conference, Mikel Arteta was asked how he could stop the noise from becoming overwhelming for the players.

The Arsenal manager told his men to either deal with it or go find another club.

He said, as relayed on HaytersTV: “You ask them the question: ‘Do you want to be part of the noise or not? If not, go and do something else, be part of a different club.

“You want to be at Arsenal? Everybody has been demanding for 10 years, 15 years that we need to go back there [fighting for the title]. Now we are there, and now what? You don’t want noise?

“Noise is part of it, and the bullets are part of that. Try to deal with it in the right way and achieve what you are looking for!”

Arsenal players should listen to William Saliba’s definition of pressure

The pressure on Arsenal is at an all-time high this season, and that will increase as we get close to the finish line in the Premier League.

You’ve got to feel for the players, most of whom are young, because it’s not at all easy to deal with it.

However, when you’re fighting to win four different titles at a club as huge as Arsenal, you need to accept it.

William Saliba described it perfectly. He said in his Reddit AMA earlier this year: “You get used to (the pressure), because you’re in a big club. The pressure is a privilege.”

The pressure is indeed a privilege, and if Arsenal can handle that, they will end the season with the Premier League title.
