Riccardo Calafiori is clearly already settling in to life at Arsenal.

Riccardo Calafiori is yet to make his competitive debut for Arsenal, having remained on the bench as Mikel Arteta’s side overcame Wolves on Saturday, but he already looks comfortable in his new surroundings.

The Italian will still be getting used to life in North London, having arrived from Bologna this summer. Calafiori will be familiar with Jorginho already, given they played together at international level during Euro 2024 earlier this summer, and the veteran midfielder will be helping him to settle at the Emirates Stadium.

Calafiori certainly looked relaxed as he undertook his duties on media day for the first time as an Arsenal player.

Media day involves all of the players being filmed and photographed for promotional material that will be used by broadcasters throughout the campaign.

Riccardo Calafiori unveils new goal celebration at Arsenal media day

A video recently posted to the official Arsenal YouTube channel has offered fans an insight into what went on behind the scenes at media day.

In this footage, Calafiori can be seen being asked by a member of the club’s media staff what his goal celebration is. The 22-year-old then admits that he doesn’t have one.

Calafiori was then asked to consider his favourite food for inspiration, and then paid homage to his Italian roots with a new celebration that sees him miming twirling spaghetti around a fork.

Calafiori then showed off his new celebration for the cameras, and Arsenal fans will be hoping to see more of it at the Emirates Stadium this season. He netted twice for Bologna last time around, and will be hoping to open his account with the Gunners in his maiden campaign.

What Arsenal can expect from Calafiori

Whilst Calafiori has not been able to provide much of a goal threat in his career so far, Arteta will still expect him to make an impact in the final third.

Calafiori is expected to feature at left-back, and he certainly has the capacity to perform a progressive and front-footed interpretation of the role. The 5-cap Italy international is assured and confident in possession, and is willing to push forward and lend his support in attacking areas of the pitch.
