Ben Foster has revealed what Bukayo Saka has to do if the Arsenal winger is to truly be considered ‘world-class’ in his position.

The 22-year-old has been in sensational form for the Gunners in recent weeks, with Saka already matching his goals and assist numbers from last season and leading Arsenal’s Premier League title charge.

As a result, the question to whether or not Saka can be considered world-class has ramped up in recent weeks, with former England international Foster giving his take on the subject.

Speaking on the Fozcast, the former Watford shot-stopper claimed that Saka needs to make a bigger impact in the important matches for Arsenal if the winger is to take his game to the next level.

Despite scoring against Liverpool, Tottenham and putting in big performances against Manchester United alone this season, Foster’s opinion on the subject is interesting, to say the least.

Foster said when asked on the Saka ‘world-class’ debate: “It’s a tough one. I get where the debate is coming from, I do think he’s world-class, but I also want to see him to do more in the big games.

“The real ones that matter when you’re playing Man City or in Champions League quarter-finals or semi-finals and the games towards the end of the season when Arsenal need someone to grab them by the scruff of the neck and lead them to wins. I want to see him doing it then.”

If we were to go off Foster’s word on what Saka needs to do in order to become world-class, then the Arsenal winger is already at his final destination.

The attacker is one of Arsenal’s best big-game players and a forward who is a driving force in some of Mikel Arteta’s biggest results as manager of the club.

As well as the aforementioned Premier League fixtures, Saka recorded the most goal contributions in the UEFA Champions League group stage this season, and the winger could easily add to his tally tomorrow in Europe against FC Porto.
