Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno spoke to Sky Sports yesterday about rumours linking him with a move away from the Emirates.
The German has come under some serious criticism this term. He has made a number of mistakes that have cost us, and that has brought out reports claiming that he isn’t happy in North London anymore.
The Guardian and Football London revealed earlier this week that Arsenal will listen to offers for Leno, should they arrive. That came in as a surprise to many fans, but the German, labelled as ‘amazing’ by David Luiz, has now put all the rumours to bed.

He said: “I am still happy at Arsenal. Arsenal is still a big club, a big name in the world and in the Premier League. There is nobody in the dressing room who says ‘I want to leave the club, I am not happy here anymore’.
“We still have a good environment at the club and in the dressing room. Of course, at times it was not easy this season, but this is part of football. It’s not good to feel sorry for ourselves, we need to move forward and change it to a positive as soon as possible.”
Should Arsenal sell Bernd Leno?
Some of the criticism that has come Leno’s way this season have been extremely harsh. Yes, he has made a few shocking mistakes, but he has also saved us on numerous occasions, and people don’t really talk about that anymore.

The one reason why Leno’s form has dropped this season may just be because Arsenal don’t have a good enough backup. The German knows that he will remain the number one no matter what, and that complacency may just have had a negative impact.
However, a few bad games doesn’t make him a bad player. He is still one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League, and forcing him out doesn’t really make a lot of sense, especially as a better goalkeeper will cost over twice as much as what Leno will go for.
Arsenal should simply bring in a quality goalkeeper to compete with Leno. If the German is kept on his toes throughout the season, he will perform at the highest level, just like he did when Emi Martinez was around last season.
