Arsenal host Brentford in the Premier League before their second leg against Real Madrid.
The Gunners absolutely battered the European champions at the Emirates on Tuesday night. They were by far the better team and deservedly won the game 3-0.
Jude Bellingham admitted that Arsenal could’ve scored more and claimed that Real Madrid were lucky to have only let in three.
Everyone who watched the game was impressed with Arsenal, especially those at the Emirates Stadium witnessing it live.
Bees boss Thomas Frank was one of them.
Thomas Frank shares what he really thought about Declan Rice’s two free-kicks vs Real Madrid
Frank is one of the most knowledgeable managers in the Premier League.
The Dane is always honest with his assessments in press conferences, and he is almost always right when he’s speaking about the game.
Ahead of the clash at the Emirates on Saturday, Frank revealed that he watched Arsenal live against Real Madrid in the Champions League.
The 51-year-old was clearly impressed, and he waxed lyrical about Declan Rice’s free-kicks against the Galacticos on Tuesday night.
Frank said in his press conference, as relayed on HaytersTV: “Unbelievably impressive performance. I actually went to the game to watch it.
“Great performance from Arsenal, I think they truly well deserved the win.
“Two fantastic free-kicks form Declan Rice. The first one, clever, bent it around the wall; you could see there was an opportunity for that.
“The second one was an absolute screamer. Top corner. Wow!”
Frank explains how he plans to stop Rice’s free-kicks during Arsenal vs Brentford
Arsenal have a tricky clash against Brentford coming up.
The fans are all looking ahead to the second leg against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu, but Mikel Arteta will want a win over the Bees as well.
It’s unclear if Rice will start the game on Saturday, but if he does, Frank wants his side to avoid conceding any free-kicks to him after seeing what he is capable of.
When asked how Brentford will defend Rice’s free-kicks, Frank said: “The second one is very difficult to defend. We can avoid giving a free-kick away, avoid giving soft fouls away.
“The first one, I hope our wall will be a little bit different, so you can’t go around on that side. That will be my expectation. But, yeah, let’s just avoid fouls.”
