Eberechi Eze is about to complete his first week at Arsenal.
The midfielder joined the Gunners last weekend, and Eze was presented to his new fans ahead of the Leeds United game on Sunday.
The England international has been taking part in training this week, and, by all accounts, Eze has been brilliant in training.
Now, writing on the Inside Football newsletter for The Independent, Miguel Delaney has shared some more interesting insight into Eze’s training over the past week or so.
Indeed, according to Delaney, Eze has been superb in training, and, what’s more interesting, Mikel Arteta has been getting Eze to practice his set-pieces this week.

Eberechi Eze has been practising set-pieces
Delaney shared an insight into what Eze has been doing in training this week.
The journalist says that he’s heard Eze is doing really well at London Colney, and, intriguingly, he is doing a lot of work on his set-pieces.
“Meanwhile, all talk from London Colney is that Eberechi Eze has been training superbly, as he relishes enjoying the move he has always wanted. Mikel Arteta has spent a week drilling him on specific attacking positions… and also set-pieces. Eze’s superb deliveries could be all the more important with Saka out,” Delaney wrote.
Who will be Arsenal’s set-piece takers?
Arsenal are one of the most effective teams in Europe in terms of taking set-pieces, but it’s now quite unclear who is on what duty.
Indeed, Arsenal have numerous players who can take dead balls.
Eberechi Eze is a great free-kick taker, so you have to assume he will take up that duty, while he’s seemingly also practising corners.
Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice seem to split corner duty at the moment, but, as a right footer, Eze may now be on those duties.
Meanwhile, Viktor Gyokeres appears to be Arsenal’s new designated penalty taker too.
Set-pieces are so important to this Arsenal team’s attacking output, and it appears a new approach could be on the way soon.
Eze is a ‘brilliant’ player, and he could well be an excellent addition to Arsenal’s set-piece line-up.
