Bukayo Saka became the first Arsenal player to score in two different Champions League semi-finals after netting against Atletico Madrid.

The Hale End graduate produced the moment which fired the Gunners into their first European Cup final since 2006.

Answer honestly: Is Bukayo Saka really the best winger in the world right now?

Saka has been brilliant since returning from injury, and he could prove to be the key difference maker as the North London club look to produce a historic season.

The 24-year-old might not always produce the most eye-catching performances, but he is still producing in the big moments, as shown by his back-to-back Champions League semi-final goals.

Bukayo Saka has just become the first Arsenal player to score in two different Champions League semi-finals.

Not even players like Thierry Henry, Ian Wright or Dennis Bergkamp managed to replicate what Saka has done for the Gunners in the Champions League.

Last season, the Arsenal vice-captain scored a consolation goal at the Parc Des Princes as the Gunners crashed out in the semi-final stage.

But this time around, his second Champions League semi-final goal proved to be the match-winning moment for Mikel Arteta’s team.

Who was your Man of the Match vs Atletico Madrid?

Despite playing less than an hour, Saka earned an 8/10 rating for his display against Atletico Madrid, with the Gunners looking so much better with him at right wing.

Saka also impressed against Fulham at the weekend, and it’s becoming increasingly clear that his return to action could be the turning point in the final month of the season.

Mikel Arteta on Bukayo Saka’s performance vs Atletico Madrid

Arteta has spoken about what Saka means to everyone at Arsenal, and he is delighted that it was his goal which won the tie.

Arteta told Prime Video Sport: “Well, it had to be someone very special, and he certainly is someone very special for me and for the boys and for everybody at this club.

“So if it had to be someone scoring the goals, probably it had to be him.”

Saka was subbed after 59 minutes in the semi-final, but hopefully by the time the final comes around, the winger should be fit to play the full 90.
