Bukayo Saka just surpassed Cesc Fabregas’ Arsenal appearance record
Cesc Fabregas was in attendance at the Emirates as Arsenal beat Leverkusen.
The timing of the Spaniard’s visit was perfect, as he witnessed Saka break his Arsenal appearance record from the stands.
Rising from Arsenal’s academy to become a first-team regular, Fabregas recorded 303 senior appearances for the Gunners, which Saka just surpassed.
Saka’s start against Leverkusen represented his 304th appearance for the Gunners, as academy expert Jeorge Bird informed on X.
In front of the figure he surpassed, Saka moved up in the Arsenal appearances by academy products charts, but he has a very long way to go if he is to break the record.
