Bukayo Saka has embarrassed Arsenal fan Roman Kemp live on air after revealing the direct messages that the radio and TV host has sent the England winger on Instagram.
Kemp is one of a number of famous Arsenal fans and he regularly attends games at Emirates Stadium. While Saka is among the shining lights of Mikel Arteta’s side and delivered another leading performance against Tottenham. But the Gunners are now sweating over his fitness.
Spurs twice came from behind to hold Arsenal to a 2-2 draw in the north London derby. Saka produced the Gunners’ second goal from the penalty spot and he also played in the ball that Cristian Romero turned into his own net. But Saka suffered a foot injury from a heavy knock.

Following a shining display in the north London derby, Kemp invited Saka to join Capital FM’s breakfast show this Tuesday. Yet it backfired when the 30-year-old’s co-hosts, Sian Welby and Chris Stark, quickly began enticing Saka to share Kemp’s Instagram DMs to the attacker.
It soon became evident that Kemp had been messaging Saka for a number of years, as well. But to further Kemp’s embarrassment, the Arsenal winger admitted that he rarely checks his DMs. Not that it stopped Welby, who considered the messages ‘tragic’, from pushing further.
Welby said, via quotes by the Mirror: “Roman at times does make me cringe. He’s admitted to DMing you despite not knowing you. Tell me now, right – how many of these DMs do you get from grown men like Roman? Do you find it cringe and do you ever reply?”
Saka responded, ‘I don’t really go through my DMs. I don’t know’. To which Kemp chimed in, admitting: “Please don’t Bukayo because I’ve been messaging you for a good 10 years.”

Stark and Welby did not yield and convinced Saka to scroll throw his Instagram DMs to find Kemp’s messages. The 22-year-old then said, ‘There’s a few’, including Kemp simply putting, ‘screamer’, after Saka scored for England against Ukraine in a Euro 2024 qualifier this March.
The messages did not stop after that as Kemp even admitted to sending Saka far worse DMs in the past. “What he’s not seen as well, but I can actually see, this was back in the day, April 2021. And I’ve tagged you and Emile [Smith Rowe] and just said, ‘Linkup’s too much’.”
Despite the embarrassment, Kemp – who also presents The One Show on BBC One – added, ‘I love you so much’. But the sentiment is surely one felt by most of the Arsenal fanbase with Saka an academy product who emerged from Hale End to lead their first-team under Arteta.
