Bukayo Saka’s timely return to the starting XI and with it, form, proved a mighty boost for Arsenal as they saw off Fulham this weekend.

Saka has been a huge loss for the Gunners in recent weeks but bounced back with a goal and an assist to lead Arsenal to victory.

In starting the game, Saka became the fourth youngest player in Premier League history to make 200 starts.

But the records didn’t stop there for Saka, as by scoring and assisting, he joined an exclusive Arsenal top five list as well.

What does Bukayo Saka need to do to be considered Arsenal’s greatest ever Premier League winger?

Bukayo Saka now fifth all-time for Arsenal in goal contributions

Saka’s attacking output has long been crucial for Arsenal and it was clear as day this weekend just how important he is to the team.

Of course, Arsenal need more from their other attackers as well to go to the next level but for now, Saka is doing the business.

In scoring and assisting at the weekend, Saka has now gone fifth in Arsenal’s all-time list for goals and assists.

He sits in elite company, with Ian Wright, Robin van Persie, Dennis Bergkamp, and Thierry Henry the only players ahead of him.

As it stands, Saka should easily overtake Wright next season. From there, Van Persie’s 135 comes into his line of sight.

However, he has a long way to go to catch Bergkamp and Henry, especially the Frenchman, who dominates the field with 249 goals or assists.

Still, it just goes to show how good Saka has become and at just 24, he has ample time on his side to climb this list. Henry’s target will be the aim, but there is a very realistic chance he at least goes past Bergkamp if he remains a Gunner for life.

As for now, Saka needs to keep up the level he showed against Fulham.

If he does that, there’s a chance Arsenal do win every game and ultimately, become Premier League and European champions.
