Bukayo Saka is continuing to set astonishing records at Arsenal, and his display against West Ham was yet another remarkable performance from the winger.
Saka is Arsenal’s talisman right now, as a Hale End graduate and one of the best wingers in the Premier League, and has now become the youngest player to score 50 goals for the club in over 40 years.
The England star now has 100 goals and assists to his name, despite still being just 22 years of age, and he is well on his way to competing with legends of the game in terms of his own impact on this Arsenal team.
The Premier League has seen some world-class players over the years, and whilst Saka may not be at the level of some of the best just yet, when compared to some of the greats, he has outperformed them relative to his age.
Bukayo Saka compared to Cristiano Ronaldo
Cristiano Ronaldo arrived in the Premier League at a young age, and went on to become one of the greatest players of all time.
To sum up how good Saka has been, his record right now is better than what Ronaldo’s was at the same age and after the same number of games for Manchester United.
Saka has made 210 senior appearances across all competitions in his career, with 51 goals and 49 assists totalling 100 goal contributions.
Ronaldo’s first 210 career appearances, before he exploded into the other-worldly goalscorer who tore up Europe with Real Madrid, saw him score 50 and assist 43 times, with a total of 93 contributions, as highlighted by Sky Sports.
Can Bukayo Saka be compared to Cristiano Ronaldo?

Saka is certainly on the right path as he bids to become an Arsenal legend, but comparisons with Ronaldo may be a bit premature, despite his superior output.
Some of Saka’s goals and assists came in the Europa League, whilst Ronaldo’s came in the Premier League and Champions League.
Ronaldo also had trophies to his name by the age of 22, and whilst this is beyond Saka’s control given the teams he has played in, it does mean that comparisons are too early for now.
Saka did initially break through as a left-back, which does hold weight in his favour, but for now, comparisons with all-time greats like Ronaldo should be held off, and the winger should be allowed to focus on his own game without such extra pressure.
