Everyone at Arsenal is getting ready to celebrate Christmas.

The holiday season is here and the Gunners are in good spirits after picking up good wins against Crystal Palace – first in the EFL Cup and then in the Premier League.

Bukayo Saka’s hamstring injury has dampened the mood, but we’re all behind the Arsenal starboy. We’re sure he will come back stronger than ever.

Ahead of Christmas, Saka has put Santa’s hat on and revealed what he would gift some of his teammates.

What Bukayo Saka would gift Declan Rice as his Secret Santa on Christmas

Saka and Declan Rice share a great relationship at Arsenal.

The two Gunners stars have known each other for a long time, since before Rice even moved to the Emirates. They played together for England on many occasions and have always been close.

We don’t know if the Three Lions superstars will exchange gifts on Christmas, but Saka already knows what he would get him if he was his Secret Santa.

For the unversed, ‘Secret Santa is a gift-giving tradition where participants are randomly assigned a person to give a gift to, and the identity of the gift-giver is kept secret until the end’.

BBC Sport asked the Arsenal number seven what he would gift Rice as his Secret Santa.

Saka thought about it for a few seconds before replying: “Declan Rice? I’d probably buy him a horse, so he can see who runs further between him and the horse.”

The funny reason why Saka wants to gift Rice a horse

Rice is one of the best midfielders in the world.

The Englishman is technically brilliant, outstanding on and off the ball and can do almost everything on the football pitch. His work rate is incredible too.

That’s why Arsenal’s players have given Rice a nickname – they call him ‘the horse’.

“They just call me a horse because they just say they can’t believe how much I run and (how) powerful I am when I’m running,” Rice revealed in May.

“So, they call me a horse. Everyone calls me it now. It’s so funny.”

That’s the reason why Saka has joked that he would like to gift Rice a horse if he was the midfielder’s Secret Santa this Christmas.
