Cesc Fabregas was one of the most intelligent players Arsenal ever had.
The Spaniard burst onto the scene under Arsene Wenger as a teenager, and he went on to become the captain of the club at the Emirates.
Fabregas has stepped into management now, and he has done a tremendous job at Como in Italy. He kept them up in Serie A last season and exceeded everyone’s expectations.
The 38-year-old has been keeping an eye on Arsenal too, and he seems to be impressed by how Mikel Arteta has developed two players.

The two teenagers have become regulars in the first team under Arteta, and they have produced a number of incredible performances already.
In what is further good news, Lewis-Skelly and Nwaneri have signed new Arsenal contracts as well, keeping them at the club until 2030.
Cesc Fabregas, who knows a thing or two about breaking into the first team as a teenager, has raved about the two Arsenal wonderkids and claimed that they are already better than he was at the same age.
Then, the former Arsenal captain hailed Arteta’s bravery for giving them opportunities without any fear.
He told Daily Mail Sport: “They don’t need any advice, they are too good. They are two top talents. They don’t need any type of advice because they are doing even much better than what I did when I was very young.
“What I like the most about them two is that they have so much personality, they are not afraid of the big stage. They play against Man City, they score goals, they are men of the match, they keep growing, they make an impact when they have to.
“It’s not only them two. When (Bukayo) Saka came on a couple of years ago, he had the same impact. It’s great to see because there is a lot of work behind the scenes in the academy. It’s fantastic to keep seeing these boys deliver week in, week out.
“Fair play to Mikel as well, who puts them to play. There are a lot of talents in youth football around the world, but who is the brave guy who will put them on the pitch? This is the quality of the coach to trust them and keep playing with them.”
Mikel Arteta has transformed Arsenal
When Arteta took charge of Arsenal in December 2019, the club was in disarray.
Most of the players weren’t good enough, the culture and mentality within the squad were awful, and there was a big disconnect between the club and the fans.
Arteta fixed all of that over the years and has made Arsenal one of the best teams on the planet. Yes, they haven’t won anything yet, but they aren’t far off.
By giving opportunities to the likes of Lewis-Skelly, Nwaneri and now Max Dowman, Arteta has helped save Arsenal millions in the transfer market.
All three players will be key figures going forward, and if they fulfil their potential, Arsenal’s future will be filled with glory.
