Arsenal are flying high at the top of the Premier League right now, but there have been a few wobbles as of late.
It was a last minute goal that saved Arsenal vs Wolves, while the Gunners only got past Everton due to a penalty from Viktor Gyokeres.
Gyokeres’ goal against Everton secured Arsenal’s place at the top of the Premier League on Christmas Day, but there’s one man who wasn’t too happy with the Swede’s strike here.
Who should be Arsenal’s full-time penalty taker?
Bukayo Saka, Viktor Gyokeres, Martin Odegaard and Kai Havertz are all more than capable
Indeed, writing in his BBC Sport predictions column, Chris Sutton noted how he was actually annoyed by Viktor Gyokeres’ goal against Everton.

Chris Sutton annoyed by Viktor Gyokeres’ goal vs Everton
The pundit noted how he was frustrated by Viktor Gyokeres’ goal against Everton due to the fact he has Bukayo Saka in his Fantasy Premier League team.
Saka is usually on penalty duty for Arsenal, but, on this occasion, Gyokeres was given the penalty against Everton.
It could be argued that giving Gyokeres this penalty was a smart move by Mikel Arteta, but it’s one that’s cost Sutton.
“My only criticism of Arsenal at the moment is that Viktor Gyokeres shouldn’t be taking their penalties – Bukayo Saka should, because he is in my Fantasy team. It really annoyed me to see Gyokeres scoring from the spot against the Toffees,” Sutton wrote.
Arsenal’s top FPL scorers this season
Sutton has Saka in his Fantasy team at the moment, and, the winger is a good pick.
On paper, Saka should be a better option than Gyokeres, that’s for sure.
Indeed, Gyokeres has scored just five goals this season, and he’s not amongst the top performers at Arsenal in terms of Fantasy points.
Interestingly, many of Arsenal’s top scorers are more defensive minded players.
Which Arsenal players do you have in your Fantasy team?
Declan Rice is Arsenal’s top scorer in terms of FPL this season, mostly due to his defensive contributions and numerous assists from corners.
Meanwhile, Jurrien Timber and Gabriel Magalhaes have benefitted from a number of clean sheets as well as popping up with a few goals.
As the league leaders, it isn’t all that surprising to see Arsenal players among the best performing in FPL this year.
