Arsenal’s squad is filled with elite players right now.
That is exactly why Mikel Arteta’s side are top of the Premier League table and preparing for a Champions League final.
The Gunners have world-class quality across almost every area of the pitch, from Declan Rice in midfield to Bukayo Saka in attack. However, there is one Arsenal player who seems to stand out even among rival stars as one of the very best in England.
Cole Palmer clearly believes William Saliba belongs in that category.
If you could only pick one of William Saliba and Gabriel to stay at Arsenal forever, who are YOU picking and why?
Cole Palmer names William Saliba in his Premier League Mount Rushmore
Palmer has emerged as one of the Premier League’s biggest stars over the last few seasons.
The Chelsea attacker has consistently produced moments of brilliance and has established himself as one of the most dangerous players in England.
That is why his opinion on the best players in the league carries real weight.
During a recent interview on Sky Sports, Palmer was asked to name his current Premier League Mount Rushmore.

The England international selected Erling Haaland, Bruno Fernandes, Reece James and Arsenal defender Saliba.
When asked why he chose those four players specifically, Palmer gave a very simple answer.
He said: “Four best players in the league.”
For Saliba to be included alongside players with that level of reputation says everything about how highly he is regarded across football.
The Frenchman has become one of the most dominant defenders in the world under Arteta.
What’s your message to John Terry after he said William Saliba is not world-class?
William Saliba has had a very underrated season at Arsenal
One of the strange things about Saliba now is that people almost take his brilliance for granted.
He has been so consistently excellent for so long that even his elite performances barely generate huge reactions anymore.
The Arsenal defender regularly produces 9/10 displays and makes defending against top attackers look easy.
Instead of praising him heavily, many people simply expect that level from him every single week now.
That probably explains why Saliba has not received as much recognition as he deserves this season.
In reality, he has been one of Arsenal’s most important players and one of the biggest reasons they are fighting for the Premier League and Champions League trophies.
