Cristiano Ronaldo’s reaction when told ‘he’s signing for Arsenal’ has been caught on camera during a boxing event in Saudi Arabia.

The Portuguese icon currently plays his football at Al-Nassr. He may not be in Europe anymore, but he is still one of the best players in the world and an absolute legend of the game. Arsenal definitely won’t sign Ronaldo, but Frank Warren teased Gooners while sitting right next to him this week.

Cristiano Ronaldo reacts when told ‘he’s signing for Arsenal’

Cristiano Ronaldo was among several big names in attendance at the Day of Reckoning boxing event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Joseph Parker shocked the world by beating Deontay Wilder, while England’s own Anthony Joshua got through Otto Walling quite comfortably.

Ronaldo was ringside to witness the historic event in Saudi, and at one point, he was seated right next to Frank Warren, the founder of Queensberry Promotions.

In a video released on X by the promotion’s official handle, Warren is seen pointing at Ronaldo and saying: “He’s signing for Arsenal!”

The former Manchester United and Real Madrid superstar didn’t say anything, but he can be seen laughing it off.

The story of how Cristiano Ronaldo almost joined Arsenal

Arsene Wenger‘s list of players he almost signed for Arsenal is a star-studded one, and Cristiano Ronaldo is arguably the biggest name on the list.

The legendary Frenchman had an agreement with the Portuguese attacker when he was still at Sporting Lisbon. Everything looked set for Ronaldo to move to Arsenal, but Manchester United swooped in and used their connections to lure him to Old Trafford.

“We were very close [to signing him],” said Wenger back in 2008. “Manchester United had a partnership with Sporting Lisbon when [the assistant manager] Carlos Queiroz came in – that made the difference.”

Ronaldo himself admitted that he was on the verge of joining us. He told Piers Morgan last year: “It’s true. Very close. One stop, incredible. Seriously.”
