Danny Murphy has claimed that Arsenal have a young player in their ranks who looks like he can become a “superstar” of the game.
The Gunners will fancy their chances in the Premier League and Champions League this season after strengthening their ranks considerably.
In addition, Arsenal have made a real name for themselves as a club that produces brilliant youngsters who go on to excel at the highest levels of the game.
Bukayo Saka is the poster boy, but the likes of Reiss Nelson, Emile Smith Rowe and Eddie Nketiah are all still in the Premier League.

Danny Murphy says Arsenal’s Max Dowman ‘looks a superstar’
Last season, Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly made their breakthroughs, while this season, Max Dowman has been tipped for stardom.
Murphy, speaking on BBC Sport’s Match of the Day Premier League Preview, backed Dowman to become the Young Player of the Season this term.
“Max Dowman, another young lad who’s not even 16 yet, but he looks a superstar,” Murphy said on the show. “Unbelievable.”
Murphy is not the only BBC Sport pundit to single Dowman out for praise. Former Arsenal defender Matthew Upson has also spoken highly of him.
“As well as the new striker, the young players Arteta has brought into the team are exceptional,” Upson told the BBC Sport website.
“Teenagers Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri have got a full Premier League season under their belts and 15-year-old Max Dowman looks a special talent.”
What Arsenal insiders ‘probably’ make of the hype around Max Dowman
Max Dowman has impressed for Arsenal in pre-season, thrilling fans and neutrals alike with his eye-catching performances off the bench.
However, the Gunners have always sought to shield their young players from too much hype and let them develop in their own time.
Speaking on the Back Pages podcast, journalist Jack Rosser said Arsenal ‘probably want to dampen’ the Dowman hype.
Luckily, Mikel Arteta is the kind of manager who can easily resist increasing fan calls over picking certain players.
He was vindicated when William Saliba spent several years out on loan, despite fans calling for him to be brought back, and the Frenchman ended up becoming a star once he was ready.
