Darren Bent has urged Arsenal to make a move for Manchester United attacker Marcus Rashford due to his versatility.
Andrea Berta is looking to sign another top attacker at Arsenal this summer, and Rashford has been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium.
👀 Name a better left wing signing for Arsenal than Marcus Rashford…
The England international has been linked with a move to the Emirates!
Rashford has just returned from a very successful loan spell at Barcelona, but after the Catalan club signed Anthony Gordon for £60 million, a return to Spain now looks to be off the cards.
Following the winger’s return to Manchester United, Bent has told Mikel Arteta that he should be all over the signing of the 28-year-old.
Darren Bent wants Arsenal to sign Marcus Rashford
Darren Bent is keen for Arsenal to make a move to sign Marcus Rashford from Manchester United this summer.
Last season, the England international managed 14 goals and 14 assists for Barca and proved why he remains a top-level attacker.
The former Premier League striker has now told the Gunners to move for Rashford, given his ability to play up front or on the left wing.
Speaking on TalkSPORT, Bent said: “Havertz, maybe he can drop back a little bit, even if Gyokeres doesn’t play. Rashford could play centre-forward, he could play off the left.”
Now that you’ve all had time to reflect, why did Arsenal lose the Champions League final?
“I just think for me it feels like you don’t get a player of that quality for £20-26 million. I’d be all over him.”
Marcus Rashford is the perfect signing for Arsenal
For just £26 million, Rashford could be a bargain signing for one club following how well he did in La Liga last season.
Bent is right about Rashford’s versatility, and Arteta loves players who can fill multiple roles, making Rashford the ideal attacking addition.
Meanwhile, at 6 feet 2 inches and 80kg, Rashford also fits the bill for being a physically dominant player, too, which is another trait Arteta desires.
The 28-year-old could kill two birds with one stone by being the alternative to Viktor Gyokeres or Kai Havertz up top, or the starting left winger to replace Leandro Trossard.
