David Moyes has suffered some painful defeats against Arsenal over the years.

The Scot has been in the game for a long time and is currently the oldest manager in the Premier League. Despite doing it for so long, he remains dedicated and prepares for every game meticulously.

A number of players have given Moyes a headache throughout his career. The most recent to do so plays for Arsenal: Martin Odegaard.

David Moyes says Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard always gives him a ‘real problem’

On his day, Odegaard is one of the best players in the world.

The Arsenal captain is brilliant on the ball, possesses incredible vision, and the way he occupies space to receive possession makes him a nightmare to defend against.

Odegaard is as comfortable receiving the ball in the final third as he is in his own half. No team can stop him from receiving a pass.

David Moyes has come up against some great players over the years who have given him lots of problems during preparation.

The Scot named Steven Gerrard, Xabi Alonso, Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba as the ones who used to cause headaches.

In terms of current players, Moyes named the Norway skipper.

He said in a Reddit AMA: “Maybe a bit more recently, Odegaard’s been a real problem when playing for Arsenal because he’s so good at what he does.”

Eberechi Eze or Martin Odegaard? 😳

Martin Odegaard has been the unluckiest player in the Premier League this season

Injuries have been really cruel to Odegaard at Arsenal this season.

The former Real Madrid man suffered a shoulder injury in the second game of the campaign against Leeds. He missed the clash against Manchester City as a result.

Then, on his return, Odegaard suffered an injury to the same shoulder and had to come off the pitch against Nottingham Forest.

Just when fans thought he couldn’t get any more unlucky, the Arsenal midfielder suffered a knee injury in the derby against West Ham United, and he missed eight more games.

These injuries have limited Odegaard to just over 300 minutes of football this term, which is a real shame. But he is back now and can hopefully remain fit for the remainder of the season.
