Arsenal are set to be very active in this summer’s transfer window, and David Ornstein has named the three midfielders the Gunners are looking to sign – Declan Rice, Moises Caicedo and Mason Mount.

Mikel Arteta’s men have done an incredible job this season. Yes, it looks like we will fall short in the race to win the Premier League title, but what this young side has achieved so far is nothing short of remarkable.

However, there is still a lot of room for improvement at Arsenal, and midfield is one area we’re almost guaranteed to strengthen this summer. Rice, Mount and Caicedo are apparently on our wish list.

Why Pele Is Overrated.

David Ornstein says Arsenal are interested in Declan Rice, Moises Caicedo and Mason Mount

The upcoming summer transfer window is one of Arsenal’s most important ones in the last few years.

We are right there competing for the title, and if we can get our transfer business right and bring in a few world-class players, we could potentially get over the line next season.

Stan Kroenke is set to back Mikel Arteta this summer, with rumours claiming the Arsenal boss will be handed a staggering £200 million war chest.

David Ornstein has had his say on that, and he has named the three midfielders Arsenal are interested in signing before the start of next season – England duo Mason Mount and Declan Rice, and Brighton star Moises Caicedo.

He said on Sky Sports: “Arsenal will have added impetus coming into this window, with the added revenues of Champions League football. The Kroenkes have already been investing heavily in the transfer market at Arsenal in recent years, in particular since they took full control of the club.

“So, I don’t think this apparent (£200m) war chest is a reaction to what’s happened, it’s a continuation of what they have been doing. Their ambitions are going to be high because they are playing in a higher level of competition.

“Their interest in Rice is well documented, they will have competition for his signing. They looked into it in January, similarly with Caicedo. I’m not sure they are going to be able to do both financially, but clearly, the interest is there.

“I think they want a creative midfielder if possible as well, that’s why the likes of Mason Mount have come on their radar, but so too other clubs like Liverpool and Manchester United.”
