The Gunners will pay Lille a fee in the region of £72 million which will break their transfer record and make Pepe the most expensive African player in history. Arsenal fans could certainly be excited with Pepe who lit up Ligue 1 last season with 22 goals and 13 assists in all competitions.

Laurent Koscielny:

The skipper, who refused to join the squad for pre-season, is close to leaving Arsenal with Stade Rennais entering talks. Ornstein revealed that Edu met with Rennes’ president Olivier Letang and Koscielny’s representative Stephane Courbis to sort out his future in the coming days.
